In My Mind

I think of us together

    our future and our past
I think of all your loving

and hope that it will last
I wonder if you see me

and if you love me too
I wonder if you care for me

the way I care for you

I dream of your affection

and how I love you so
I dream about the good times

    and that you'll never go
I wish that you were near me

so I could hold you tight
I wish that you could hear me

    each morning and each night

I hope that you'll still love me

    as summer turns to fall
I hope that you will realize

I love you most of all
But all my dreams and all my hopes

    I know I'll never find
'Cos you don't even know me girl

it's all just in my mind
In my mind

Vision Of Darkness

Turn out the light
Turn off the sun
Look for the living
You'll find there are none

Vision of darkness
Filling my head
There are no living
Everyone's dead

Lifeless surroundings
Full of clean air
What is it good for
There's no one to care

The world has been shed
Of man and his mind
Will it start over
Another mankind

It's just a nightmare
It isn't true
But it will happen
To both me and you

Reflections

Close the world for awhile
See the half-faded smile

    that she's wearing
I know how she feels

Take a walk in the air
And you feel love is there

    in the making
She knows that it's real

I know what I can see I can feel
And what I can feel that is real
And real love I have left far behind
It's now reflections

    locked up in my mind

Looking back to the day
One of us had to say goodbye love
Why was it you

Put my pain to an end
Let us be one again if not
Then nothing will do
Reflections of love, life and you
Reflections of love, life and you

Denise

Denise you please me

    by showing faith in me
My loving you was wrong
You knew it all along
But now we must confess

Denise don't tease me

for I can't stand to be
Without you by my side
You've totally denied
The love which you possess

I'm giving all

    to make me feel better
Heartbreaking thoughts

    of life without you
Reliving times

   we once knew together
I'm making plans of nothing to do
Now I'm losing you

Denise release me

    from this cloud over me
You're never out of mind
We're running of time
Better go and get dressed

Almost

Well I almost crossed a river

but the bridge had washed away
So I waded in the water

where I always want to stay
But you know I kept on going

and I almost made it home

Well I almost climbed a mountain

but the rocks were falling down
So I waited in the sunshine

where I rested on the ground
But you know I kept on going

and I almost made it home

And the rain forever falling

from the clouds within my mind
And the lonely search with memories

of the home I left behind

Well I almost found my heaven

but my search was all in vain
So I lay down in the desert

where they found me in the rain
But you know I kept on going

and I almost made it home

So Much Easier

You've made it so much

    easier for me
To be the kind of man

    I ought to be
By bringing sunshine

    when you came to me
You took my blindness

and you showed me how to see

For it is so much easier indeed
To do the things

    we do in harmony
By chasing visions

    through eternity
We find together

is the only way to be

I can't complain

you've been so good to me
You know exactly how to please me
You've got the time

why do you have to leave
But you don't have to stay
I will let you have your way

And now it's so much easier for me
To feel the pain and the agony
A passing lover

    spending nights for free
I took from you only

   what you gave to me

And what you gave to me
Made it so much easier to be

Mary, You

Mary, you

    seem to understand me
Mary, you

    never underhand me
You're always here

    when I need you
You're always near

    when I want you
Oh Mary, you

    know you make me smile

Mary, you

    don't know much about me
Mary, you

    should not be without me
I'm always here

    when you need me
I'm always near

    when you want me
Oh Mary, you

    know I make you smile

Love may come and love may go
It happens all the time
Love to love and let you know
That you're the love of mine

Mary, you

    help me to forget her
Mary, you

    really make it better
You're always here

    when I need you
You're always near

    when I want you
Oh Mary, you

    know you make me smile

Can't Stop Thinking About You

Out of nowhere you came to me
Without warning that I could see
But isn't that how it should be

And I can't stop thinking about you
Don't know how I made it without you
Can't stop thinking about you
You're so real to me

Didn't know you until tonight
But something tells me that it's alright
To have an angel within my sight

And I can't stop thinking about you
Don't know how I made it without you
Can't stop thinking about you
You're so real to me

If I had the chance to make you mine

    I wouldn't hesitate
But until I do I'll think of you

    and let the others wait

Hope you let me get to you
I will love you girl if you do
Let our love be something new

And I can't stop thinking about you
Don't know how I made it without you
Can't stop thinking about you
You're so real to me

Sarah

Sarah be my woman

    my only woman
And together we can see
Ourselves in harmony
If you want to you know I want to

Sarah be my lady my only lady
And together through the years
We'll know each other's fears
If I want to I know you want to

And for every time

    the wind may blow
We find how much we really know
Is not as much

    as both of us believe
But for every time a rock may roll
We hide our love within our souls
And never give

    unless we first receive

Sarah be my lover my only lover
And together we can find
Eternal peace of mind
If we want to you know we want to

Wait And See

I see her standing by the door
I wonder who she's waiting for
Is he a lucky man like me
I wonder who I'll wait and see

But you know I love you I do
You know I love you it's true
And I hope you mean what you say
'Cos you know I love you I do
You know I love you it's true
And I wouldn't have it any other way

I can't believe it but it's true
Nobody knows but me and you
You said you love me can it be
Though I'm not sure I'll wait and see

But you know I love you I do
You know I love you it's true
And I hope you mean what you say
'Cos you know I love you I do
You know I love you it's true
And I wouldn't have it any other way

And if our love should ever end
I'll always want you for my friend
Be mine until your life is free
And let's together wait and see
Just wait and see
Just wait and see

Stone Wall

When your mind is running free
You never think of you and me
For your dreams are far away
Another person another day

I'm in a sleepy daze
Visions of purple haze
I'll always be amazed at you

I'm on a natural high
Visions of sunny skies

I'll always fill your eyes with truth

Can't you see I'm wanting you
And I want you to want me too
But you hurt me when you say
Maybe tomorrow but not today

Your love is hard to get
And I don't have it yet
But I will do my best for you

For now I'm all alone

Like a wall made of stone
My love for you has grown very true

Someone Like Me

I'm in love with a lovely girl
But she loves someone else
Guess I'll hold my feelings in
Conceal them to myself

I hide my pain and shed no tears
No one can see my sorrow
Now I must leave you I don't know
Where I will be tomorrow

Your blue eyes

    have enchanted mine
Your long blonde hair

    is straight and fine
Will you ever find the time
To love someone like me

And when the sun sets in the west
I'll be far away
And should you see me we will know
There's nothing left to say

Someday Someone

Somewhere someone

    is looking for somebody
Somewhere someone

    is trying to be free
Somewhere someone

    is searching for a lover
Somewhere someone

    is waiting there for me

Somehow someday

    we'll finally come together
Somehow someday

    we'll find each other's heart
Somehow someday

we'll lay our love before us
Somehow someday

    we'll never be apart

I don't know when our

    paths of life will meet
I only know it's coming

    to make my life complete

Someday someone

will find me looking for them
Someday someone

will want to be my friend
Someday someone

will change my way of living
Someday someone

will love me 'til the end

Can You Tell Me

Can you tell me what you'd do
If today your

    dreams would come true
Would you run and

    tell me what you see

Can you tell me what you'd say
If you found you

    could have your way
Would you let the world know

    it was me

I could give you anything

    fancy car or diamond ring
Just to know you really want

to spend your life with me

Can you tell me where you are
When your mind's

    away in the stars
Would you let me know

    just how you feel

Day or night it's all the same

tell me or I'll go insane
Do you think we have a chance

    to start it all again

Can you tell me why I cry
If you'd give me just one more try
You could help me find reality

Falcon Friend

Way up high on a mountain top

in the cold of the sun in the sky
Sits a falcon in loneliness

    knowing soon it will be

    time to die

Catching life as a glimpse of truth

but not able to know what it is
Sounds of nature below his home

    echo softly through that

    which is his

Days will follow until he sees

that the only way out is to fly
Will he make it to other shores

or instead in a grave will he lie

I have known of a million joys

but I've never seen more of a sight
How can you be annoyed at me

when you know what I do

    must be right

Moving closer to feel you breathe

    as this moment means

    so much to me
Beauty lies deep within your thoughts

in a halo cast over the sea

Bird of wisdom and bird of faith

can you see that I mean you

    no harm
Where my ego could once again

be contented to live there alone

Though I tried to be on my way

I could tell that he wished me

    to stay
With a friend in this animal

how could I ever have gone away

With a smile I began to leave

but I turned as I came back to earth
Fly away parting falcon friend

for to me you have given rebirth

All I said was I wish you well

may you always fly peacefully on
Then I cried as he hit the ground

after someone had fired their gun

Sometimes

Sometimes I think

    about a summer place
And sometimes

I always seem to see your face
And though you're not here with me
Still your beauty I can see
Don't you know that sometimes

    I think of you

Sometimes I realize

    what I have done
And sometimes

I wish that you had never gone
But you could not stay around
After all the things you found
Don't you know that sometimes

    I'm feeling blue

Every time I think about

    the way I treated you

I want to hide myself and pray
Thought you had a lover

but you found there was another

    so you took yourself away

Sometimes I wish

I had you back with me
And sometimes

I wonder if you'll ever see
Though my heart still feels the pain
If I had you back again
Don't you know that sometimes

    I would be true

You

You don't have to act

    the way you do
For I can't help but

    fall in love with you
Wishing I could know

    what's on your mind
And leave my thoughts

    that wander far behind

You don't have to say

    the words you say
'Cos I know

    I would love you anyway
I will keep my questions

    to myself
But I will think of you

    and no one else

Now I thought love was just a game

the two of us could play
But now I see it's come to me

    it's really not that way

You don't have to know

    the way I feel
All you have to know

    is love is real
So keep me wondering

    where I stand with you
But let me know

    that you are happy too

Now I thought love was just a game

the two of us could play
But now I see it's come to me

    it's really not that way

You don't have to know

    the way I feel

Boozin' Susan

Well hey little Susan

you wanna go boozin' with me
I said hey little Susan

you wanna go boozin' with me
We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three

Well it's Saturday night

    and I'm feeling alright
If you wanna know I wanna

    have a little tonight

Well hey little Susan

you wanna go boozin' with me
We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three

Well it's quarter to nine

    and I got some wine
If you're gonna know I'm gonna

    get to feeling so fine

Well hey little Susan

you wanna go boozin' with me
We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three

Well now I got the liquor

    but I'm getting sicker
If you wanna know I wanna

    drink a little bit quicker

Well hey little Susan

you wanna go boozin' with me
We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three

We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three
We'll get drunk as a skunk

and stay out till quarter to three

On Our Own

The time is drawing near

    it's almost here
We'd better hurry
And now we must decide

    we cannot hide
But don't you worry

For though we're on our own

    we're not alone
We're not the only
And if you look around you

    it will astound you
That the world is lonely too

And yes as we grow older

    we must be told of
The pain of living
For we are the tomorrow

    it causes sorrow
To see no giving

For though we're on our own

    we're not alone
We're not the only
And if you look around you

    it will astound you
That the world is lonely too

And when the day is through

    I'll be with you
I'll be your friend
For we need one another

    there'll be no other
Until the end

Where The Stars End

There are things I'll never know
And I'll never understand
Why the stars keep on shining
Cast their shadows on the land
On the land

On a cloudless starry night
When the sky is bright and clear
You can see a million twinkles
And each one seems so near
Seems so near

If my dreams would all come true
When I wish upon a star
I'd live my life with you
We'd be only what we are
What we are

And I wonder will I ever see
For all mankind is blind
Will this I ever find
Where the stars end
Do they end

Stream Of Consciousness

We are all only human
No one can be more
Though we try to better ourselves
Wonder what it's for
Oh oh oh

All our life we've been searching
For the word to say
But each word is harder to find
As we go our way
Hey hey hey

Point of view of loving you
Who ever you may be
Love of life the endless strife
For everyone and me

Now and then we must struggle
For our happiness
Realize we're forever riding
A stream of consciousness
Oo oo oo

Memories

Sunny skies can fade away
The clouds can disappear
And every smile on every face
Be shadowed by a tear

But memories live on and on

    within the heart and mind
And always with the bad the good

    you will find

And now I see that you have gone
To find your childhood dreams
While I keep saying to myself
It's not the way it seems

But the feelings deep for you

    won't ever go away
A world of thought in shaded blue

    faded days

What has happened

    to the joy we had
The good and bad and never sad
And what has happened

    to the love we found
And all around together bound

Though you say what will be

    will be if it must
But can you tell me now my love

    what has happened to us

Without Words

As I lay here beside you

I can feel you through a smile
Smile for me if you want to

and then I will stay awhile
While we love one another

we both know the end is near
Near my heart you'll be always

always want me to be here

Here am I just a lonely guy

    alone in my world
Without words for my love am I

    this very special girl

But I find that I cannot tell you

    what is on my mind
When you find me remind me to stay

I know I can't say anything

    that's not been said before
For it's all gone before us

    we relive it ever more
More or less what I'm saying is

    really hard to say
Say no more I'll be going

yes I shall be on my way

Here am I just a lonely guy

    alone in my world
Without words for my love am I

    this very special girl
But I find that I cannot tell you

    what is on my mind
When you find me remind me to stay

Sweet Dreamer

Sweet dreamer child

    sweet dreamer child
Your dreams are free

    so let them be

Sweet dreamer girl

    sweet dreamer girl
Dream of me can't you see

That a dream is just

    an easy way
To leave reality
If you dream about

    the one you love
I hope you dream of me

Sweet dreamer love

    sweet dreamer love
So it seems it's just a dream

    it's just a dream

And a dream is just

    an easy way
To leave reality
If you dream about

    the one you love
I hope you dream of me

Sweet dreamer love

    sweet dreamer love
So it seems it's just a dream

    it's just a dream

Follow The Mountain

Follow the mountain

    up to the sky
When you reach the peak

    then wonder why

If there is love

    why should we cry
If there is hatred

    why can't we die
Look at the rivers

    the trees and the plains
Think of the good times

    forget all the pains

Follow the mountain

    up to the sky
When you reach the peak

    then wonder why

Go down to the sea

    enter the world again
Walk by the water

    let it douse the flames
Think not of love

    that has passed you by
Look to tomorrow

   and forget the lies

Follow the mountain

   up to the sky
When you reach the peak

    then wonder why

Why did she leave me

    why did she go
Don't tell me now

    I'm not ready to know
I can't live without her

    so now I must die
Jump from the mountain

    watch as I fly

Follow the mountain

    up to the sky
When you reach the peak

    then wonder why

It Seems To Me

It seems to me that a man

has got to make it himself
He can't live his life through

    someone else

    it seems to me

It seems to me that a world

    can't live indefinitely
It won't make it throughout

    eternity

    it seems to me

And when my life on earth is through

then I wonder what I'll do
Will I live again somewhere

    in another time
Or will I finally cease to be

as a living form of entity
And take my place as a

    memory in the mind

It seems to me that a life is

just a game we all play
And it gets harder playing life

    every day

    it seems to me

In The Country Now

Life is always a hustle

    running out of your mind
Never taking it easy now

seems you don't have the time
That's the way of the city

    and it never will change
But when you're out

    in the country now

    it's a brand new game

And you remember the city

where your life has always been
And compare the two

    the old and new

and you won't go back again

Waking up in the country

    feeling life in the air
Sun is on the horizon now

    soon will be over here

Lazy day in the shadows

    watching all that you can
Leaves are changing

    appearance now

hear them fall on the land

And you remember the city

where your life has always been
And compare the two

the old and new

and you won't go back again
